Can I return a product?

Yes, we have a 7-day return policy, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return.

When are you eligible to return a product? 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

How can I initiate a return request? 

To start a return, you can contact us at help@hakshi.com. Please note that returns will need to be sent to the following address: 204, TTK Road, Alwarpet, Chennai 600017

What is the refund policy? 

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
We take extra care to package our products securely. However, in case you receive a product that’s been damaged during transportation, please send us a picture within 24 hours (no exceptions to extend this period) of receiving the item. A return & refund will be initiated thereafter. 

What qualifies as a manufacturing defect?

Any manufacturing defect including:

  • wear and tear of the handloom, leather and lining
  • broken or missing hardware (such as pullers, zippers and hooks)

 What does not qualify as a defect?

  • As a result of the natural process of tanning, the tanned leather may have slight variations in shade and colour. If two pieces from the same collection look a shade apart, it’s what makes it one of a kind.
  • Depending on the variety of leather, the leather may have natural markings & scars.
  • The leather ages beautifully. Lighter colours will darken over time, and often depending on the variety of leather may soften in its feel with use.
  • Minimum chemical is used to protect the leather. This means it is not 100% water, stain or scratch-resistant.

The handloom silk used in the products is weaved from our looms in Kanchipuram district. Owing to its artisanal nature:

  • Products in the same collections might have slight differences in the colour shade as well as weave pattern from that shown in photographs
  • Each batch of handloom silk that is crafted is unique
  • Not all our handloom is not 100% resistant to colour-bleeding. 
  • Minor inconsistencies in handloom Kanchipuram silk are not considered a defect. This includes small knots or bumps in threads, minute gaps around motifs, imperfect wefts and variation in colour shade. 

Acknowledging the above, for a product to qualify as a defective piece, the colour of the leather or fabric, or natural markings on the leather will not be accepted.


Exceptions / non-returnable items

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
